Gondola ride in Venice? Here’s what you’re looking for!
The gondola is one of the main symbols of Venice, it is considered one of the most beautiful and elegant boats on earth, it is built using unique techniques and every single part of it hides symbolic meanings. For example, its toothed bow iron has five or six prongs, symbolising the six sestieri (districts) into which Venice is divided. The function of this iron part is to balance the weight of the gondolier and it has an ‘S’ shape reminiscent of the flow of the Grand Canal.
Experience the gondola on this tour. An extraordinary way to enjoy the colours, lights, monuments, charm and beauty of Venice. You will admire elegant palaces on the side banks, and breathe in the fascinating and magical atmosphere that only a city built on water can offer.
The gondola tour will also take place in the rain; only in the event of very heavy rain, the tour may be cancelled and the tour will be refunded (or rescheduled for another day/time). Note that no refund will be given for absentees or latecomers
Note that this is a shared gondola (each can carry up to five people), so the gondola may be shared with other people
On-board assistance will be provided, but narrative commentary during the tour is not included.
