People Mover

From April 2010, Venice have a new means of transport: finally entered active duty, the People Mover, the funicular that connects Piazzale Roma to Tronchetto, through the Maritime Station.

The innovative system of the People Mover, a funicular monorail high technology, takes about 3 minutes to walk the entire route of 857 meters at a maximum speed of 26 km per hour.

There are two trains in the service of the People Mover, with four cars each, which make a run every 7 minutes, from 7 to 23, and can carry up to two hundred people. Three cash machines located at each station allow the purchase of tickets at any time.
