Scala Contarini del Bovolo was commissioned by Pietro Contarini towards the end of the 1400s as a decorative element of the adjacent family palace. La Scala is connected to the building on three floors by loggias. On the top floor there is the Belvedere which offers a magnificent view of Venice. In addition to the Scala, on Friday and Saturday of each week there is the possibility to visit the Oratorio dei Crociferi located in Campo dei Gesuiti in Cannaregio. It is a small church with a pictorial cycle by Jacopo Palma il Giovane inside.
