 On November 2nd 2014, in Venice all the state museums will open their doors for free to the public.

The Decree of the new Minister of Culture in Italy states that the first Sunday of the month is free and unrestricted the entry to all the public museums and the archaeological sites will be visited for free. More than 430 museums, monuments and archaeological sites throughout Italy will open their doors for free to the public, welcoming locals and tourists for a day dedicated to the discovery of the national cultural heritage.   On Sunday, November 2, 2014 in Venice all the state places of culture will then be opened without any charge.   Only the State Museums of Venice will be opened for free. Admission is free to the Museum of Palazzo Grimani, where is also hosted an extraordinary exhibition which sees for the first time exposed to the public the entire corpus of Polychrome Woodcuts of one of the most well-known Japanese artists, Utagawa Hiroshige. Entrance free even at the National Archaeological Museum in St. Mark's Square and the Rooms of the Biblioteca Marciana, included in the integrated path of "The Museums of St. Mark's Square," with the normal opening hours: 10:00 to 17:00 (last admission at 16:15) Will also have free admittance the Museum of Oriental Art and the Galleria Giorgio Franchetti, which presents the exhibition DIVINE. Splendors of scene: about 350 pieces of jewelry from the Fantasy Collection by Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo. It's part of the State Museums also the National Museum of Villa Pisani in Stra, an amazing villa just outside Venice that deserves a throughout visit.
