Located on the Fondamenta Nuove facing the northern lagoon, La Trattoria Da Alvise is a restaurant serving both traditional Venetian seafood and a variety of freshly prepared pizzas. Da Alvise is popular with both locals and tourists and is well known for its excellent food and friendly staff. Reaching out over the water is the restaurant’s large wooden terrace (built using the traditional technique of driving wooden poles into the lagoon bed) from where you can admire breathtaking views of the lagoon, the islands, and – on a clear day – the Dolomites. With the sound of waves lapping against the embankment and a gentle sea breeze, this is a wonderful place to enjoy our fish specialities and the superb homemade desserts prepared by Mamma Erika. From the interior of the restaurant, with its simple but tasteful décor, you can admire a panorama that includes the islands of Murano, San Michele, Le Vignole and – in the distance – Burano. Renato, Alessandro and Nicole will welcome you with their old-fashioned courteousness and make sure that you feel part of our lively group of friends.
