Birraria La Corte is rediscovered and brought to light in Campo S. Polo," one news reporter wrote about our restaurant as its history goes back centuries: in the 16th century it was used to house the bulls participating in the world-famous events held in Campo San Polo and St. Mark's Square . In the 19th century, during the Austrian dominion, it was used as a beer factory and remained so even after the Mauria brothers who continued the activities until the Fascist period took over. World War II was a fatal blow to the "Birraria" which remained closed until 1998, when we decided to renovate it as an avant-garde restaurant. The restoration of the place, in respecting the structure's originality, preferred the use of modern materials such as steel and zinc plates, perfectly combined with other more traditional materials such as wood and copper. The result is an ambience with just a hint of New York city-life which has merged by now with Venetian tradition.
